Import bank statements and files

Upload activity files from TD, RBC, Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC, and other Canadian banks — or connect your bank for automatic sync.

Purpose: Load many past transactions at once by uploading a statement or activity file from your Canadian bank.

Prefer automatic sync? See Connect your bank (Menu → Accounts) — recommended for most households.

Upload a statement or activity file

  1. Menu → Import.
  2. Choose the writable finance file and a name for the account (or match an existing one as prompted).
  3. Upload a bank statement or activity file from your bank’s online banking or app.
  4. Watch progress; you can cancel a running job.
  5. Review transactions afterward; remove an import batch if it was wrong.

Formats: Common activity exports (dates, descriptions, amounts) work best. Follow the format hint on the Import page for your file.

Also coming: broader PDF statement support. Day to day, you can also use + to snap receipts for cash or in-store purchases.

Tip: Connect your bank once for history and ongoing sync — use Import or snap when you need a one-off file or cash spending your bank feed may miss.
