Billing, trial, plans, and Family seats

Purpose: Start/manage Solo or Family, trial, invoices, payment method, and Family seats.

1. Menu → Billing.
2. Start trial or switch plan (Solo ↔ Family, monthly ↔ annual — prorated).
3. Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal (cards, invoices, cancel).

Family seats (Family plan only)

Family seats let household members use Klyrr for free under your subscription, each with their own account and files. This is separate from sharing a finance file.

1. On Billing, open Invite family members (free seats).
2. Enter their email (optional message) and send.
3. They accept via the email link (or sign up with that email). Seat limit: 4 total including you.
4. Revoke a seat or pending invite anytime from the same Billing section.
5. Optionally share a finance file with them later from Files → file → Invite by email.

If you are on someone else’s Family seat: Billing shows that the sponsor manages payment. You can leave the seat from Billing, or subscribe to your own Solo/Family plan anytime.

Downgrade Family → Solo

You get a confirmation screen and a 30-day grace period. During grace, nothing is locked yet; Klyrr emails reminders every few days with the end date. After grace: extra owned files are locked (data kept), and Family seats are revoked (soft — rows kept, access blocked). Upgrade back to Family anytime during grace to keep seats and files.

Tips
- Cancel before day 7 if you don’t want to be charged after the trial.
- Annual saves versus monthly (see pricing on the page).
- File sharing does not put someone on your Family seats — use Billing for free app access.
