Getting started with Klyrr

Sign up

You can create a Klyrr account in either of these ways:

Option A — Email
1. Go to klyrr.ca/en/signup.
2. Enter your email and complete the security check.
3. Open the email and continue the link (this verifies your email).
4. Choose a display name and password (at least 8 characters), accept the terms (including AI processing), create the account.
5. A default finance file is created for you automatically.

Option B — Google or Apple
1. Go to klyrr.ca/en/signup.
2. Choose Continue with Google or Continue with Apple and finish the provider sign-in.
3. Your email is verified through Google/Apple — there is no email continue link and no password to set.
4. You go straight to onboarding. A default finance file is created automatically.

Tip: Prefer an email you check often if you use Option A (verification and password-login 2FA codes go there). With Google/Apple, use the same provider button whenever you return.

Verify your email

• Email signup: until your email is verified (via the continue link), the app may redirect you to a verification page. Use Resend if the first message didn’t arrive (check spam).
• Google / Apple signup: your email is already treated as verified — you skip this step.

Onboarding questionnaire

After signup (and email verification when needed) you answer a short survey (province, banks, income band, goals, household size). This does not create finished Plan goals with dollar targets — it seeds draft goals later when you open Plan. Then you continue to billing.

Start a trial (billing)

1. Choose Solo or Family, monthly or annual.
2. Start the 7-day free trial (card required; you are not charged for 7 days if you cancel in time).
3. Manage payment methods and invoices later under Billing (Stripe portal).

Plans (CAD)
- Solo: 1 finance file, only you (no Family seats, no file collaborators).
- Family: up to 4 Family seats (you + up to 3 people who use Klyrr free with their own files), up to 4 finance files, and up to 4 collaborators per file when sharing a file.

These are two different actions:
1. Family seats (Billing) — invite someone to use the app free under your plan.
2. File sharing (Files) — share one finance file with someone who already has Klyrr access (their own plan or a Family seat).

Tip: If someone invited you to their Family plan (seat), Billing shows that they manage payment. Sharing a file with you is a separate step they can do later from Files.

Sign in later

1. Go to klyrr.ca/en/login (or the login link from the app).
2. Use the same method you used to sign up:
   - Email + password — you may get a 6-digit email code (2FA). Optionally trust the device for 14 days.
   - Google or Apple — tap the same button; no password and no 6-digit code.
3. Forgot password (email accounts only): use Forgot password? on the login page. If your account only uses Google or Apple, that flow will tell you to sign in with that provider instead.
